Thomas: Like all great modern collaberations, this started with an MSN convo.

29/01/2009 18:01:26 Thomas: and even though I like turkey, it's just not the same if it's cold
29/01/2009 18:02:12 Dave: loool
29/01/2009 18:02:58 Dave: i like your humour

At first I thought he was trying to tell me something. Something about closets maybe.

29/01/2009 18:03:03 Dave: you should write a blog tbh

Whew. But then inspiration!

29/01/2009 18:03:23 Thomas: hey, we could do a joint blog!
29/01/2009 18:03:33 Dave: :O
29/01/2009 18:03:36 Dave: that would be fun

And the rest, as they say, is still largely unexplained but that's what this blog is for.

So, if I may, I hereby introduce myself and my good friend Dave to the people of the Internet. We don't really know your customs, or your frankly bizzare language, but we'll come to a mutual understanding I think.

Good to meet you.

An Introduction From Dave

Dave: Well after Thomas was honoured with the first post of this incredible new blog, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome friends/family/enemies/bored googlers/random anonymous internet peoples. This blogs adds to the two a second currently created daily in the interwebz (presumably not by the same person), however I hope you won't see it as meaningless drivel (as the title may suggest), nor is it attempting to scam you into investing in a Nigerian General's short term difficulties. This blog is the demonstration of something pure, something wonderful, something quite amazing.. Free Speech.

This particular 'right' is so often taken for granted, but it really is an amazing freedom that we in a Western Society have. I mean we can say anything! Absolutely anything!!!! We can even say that Gordon Brown is a [This portion removed for violation of Blogspot's content policy, please visit http://www.blogger.com/content.g for more information] or that George Bush has a [This portion removed for violation of Blogspot's content policy, please visit http://www.blogger.com/content.g for more information].

As for my part in this demonstration of the freedom to express one's self, I hope to contribute film reviews, opinion on current affairs (sometimes serious, mostly not),tit-bits from the world of sport, word of the day, hilarious tales from my own day to day life, a picture of the week, ramblings in general and perhaps a vlog in the future.

The format of this blog is provisionally going to be myself and Thomas blogging on alternate days, with maybe a collaborative blog every now and again. It's pretty loose at the moment but we'll update you with any developments. Essentially there isn't a plan for this at the moment but I'm sure that one will present itself, and in the meantime just sit back, relax and enjoy the show.... well blog...so it's not really a show... hmm.

In the meantime:
"This portrait of President Barack Obama was created by artist George Vlosich using an Etch-A-Sketch toy. The picture took 80 hours to draw using the two dials in one, unbroken line."

Does anyone else really want to shake it?
